CPU parts

CPU parts

The computer system includes the CPU parts which are all necessary for the system to work. The central processing unit or (CPU) works by carrying out the instructions to the computer program, performing the arithmetical and logical instructions and the processing of the input/output operations of the system. No wonder why, the CPU is considered as the brain of the computer.
Generally, CPU Parts are basically grouped into:

The Arithmetic Logic Unit or ALU. These are composed of CPU parts that perform the logical and arithmetic operations of the computer system. Arithmetic operations include multiplication, division, addition and subtraction; while the logical operation include comparison of numbers like identifying which is lesser, more or equal.

Control Unit or CU. This is one of the CPU parts that will carry the instructions from the RAM (Random Access Memory) and interpret those instructions in order for the system to execute the instructions. This time, the ALU’s help is needed if it concerns logical and arithmetical operations. However, it must be noted that other CPU parts are the one that will perform or execute the instructions. The CU will just direct the CPU parts to do it. Meaning, the control unit will just serve as means to link the ALU and the memory.

Memory. This one of the most important CPU parts. The processor works with the built in memory it has. The memory cell will store the data temporarily in order for the system to execute the instruction. It is now the role of the CU to get those information from the memory. Then the process of interpreatation is handled by the CU and then, ALU takes its role after the CU directs the instructions.

The CPU parts of the computer system can tell whether the computer system can work accordign to your needs.  Hence, when you are to buy one, make sure to check the CPU and not the outside appearanc of the computer unit.
